F.H.劳森（F.H. Lawson, 1897 — 1983），杰出的牛津之子。出身牛津大学皇后学院（The Queen's College），曾师从法律史名家霍尔兹沃思（W.S. Holdsworth）。 劳森自1923年开始在牛津任教，1931年至1948年间，出任万灵学院罗马法高级讲师（All Souls Reader in Roman Law），并于1945年至1947年担任牛津法学专业委员会主席。1948年，劳森成为牛津大学首位比较法讲座教授（Professor of Comparative Law），此后稳坐这一讲席，直至1964年退休。
